With the Christmas period out of the way, I’m sure you’ve now taken down your Christmas decorations and got the house back to normal. However, you might be thinking ‘ah, the house is decorated the same old way we’ve had it for years’. Well, as part of the chance we all get for a fresh start in the New Year; you might have started to think about re-decorating your home.
The New Year is a great time to spruce up your walls and give them a new lease of life. You might want to start decorating right away, or you might have plans to do it in the spring and beyond. As a starting point, this blog will give you some more inspiration to find out what’s trending in 2022.
According to the Chinese calendar, 2022 is the year of the tiger, which represents strength and bravery. Coincidentally, strong, bold wallpapers are trending in 2022, so this is no time for plain stripes. Go all out and try quirky, abstract patterns, or funky animal prints to liven up the place.

Mid and light blue colours have been named colour of the year by Graham and Brown and Ideal Home. These soothing hues provide a cool, calming effect which works in any room of your choice. The two blue coloured wallpapers below nicely give off a calming effect and would look great as a feature wall alongside blue paint, or to cover the entire room.
