The design was inspired by a cheeky, fruit-thieving bird Morris spotted under his strawberry nets in his garden, featuring birds, strawberry plants and garden flowers in metallic copper with a charcoal grey textured backdrop which has a contrasting matte finish. The original pattern took several days to print using hand-carved woodblocks to build up the different colours. This design will complement most colours and textures, from dark accents to wooden furnishings, allowing it to enhance both both contemporary and traditional interiors.
