The design was inspired by a cheeky, fruit-thieving bird Morris spotted under his strawberry nets in his garden, featuring birds, strawberry plants and garden flowers in neutral tones of blush and sage with a neutral backdrop, set on a smooth matte paper. The original pattern took several days to print using hand-carved woodblocks to build up the different colours. This pattern would be ideal for sitting rooms, studies or bedrooms.
