The design was inspired by a cheeky, fruit-thieving bird Morris spotted under his strawberry nets in his garden, featuring birds, strawberry plants and garden flowers in accents of blush and mustard yellow overlayed upon a bottle green backdrop, promoting the pop of off white within the flower and bird motifs, set on a smooth matte paper. The original pattern took several days to print using hand-carved woodblocks to build up the different colours. The design would make for the perfect yeye-catching feature wall, or why not go bold and use on all four walls?
