The design was inspired by a cheeky, fruit-thieving bird Morris spotted under his strawberry nets in his garden, featuring birds, strawberry plants and garden flowers in metallic gold with a sage green textured backdrop which has a contrasting matte finish. The original pattern took several days to print using hand-carved woodblocks to build up the different colours.
